Acquisition Limits per Matchup

New to the fantasy baseball world and we are having a disagreement about acquisition limits per well. A few guys want 3 but I think that is ridiculously low.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, none of us have done a fantasy baseball league before, just trying to get some outside opinions on the matter.

The league i'm in has seven.

Their argument is that 3 increases the strategy of every add/drop. I think it could hinder someone who gets the injury bug late in the season and that 5 add/drops would keep strategy high but still account for those who may get unlucky.

My league has a 10 per week limit but a max of 75 on the season. It works out well. You can stream in a pinch but not every week.
