Why would they? They did what they needed to do.

Spain won't win WC 2014. A good squad will kill them on the counter.

Anything can happen in knockout rounds. Getting out of group will be complicated.

The cycle has not run it´s course in my opinión, however, we´ll have to see at what level Llorente is, or if there is a viable alternative.

Also, Arbeloa is washed up (never was great, but was solid).

The rest are still cream of the crop, Xavi included (Piqué and Ramos don´t worry me when it comes to playing for ´all the marbles´, only in preliminaries).

Their defensive organization just doesn't seem to be there. At least 3 times they were dissected by a single through ball, which the Finnish players couldn't finish (lol).

Not to mention the offensive production simply isn't there. Clearly teams are defending deeper, but 7 goals in 4 matches is troublesome. Compare that to their qualifying campaign for the 2010 WC where they went 10-0-0 and averaged almost 3 goals a match.

Also, WTF is wrong with Silva? Needs to be benched for Mata. The guy has regressed over the past 6-8 months.

Spain struggling to score is nothing new, even at the best of times. They only scored 8 goals in 7 World Cup games in 2010.

A lot different in the WC when you are playing mostly good teams. In qualifiers, when you are playing the likes of Finland, you should be scoring boatloads of goals. Which they did qualifying for the 2010 WC (averaged almost 3 goals a match)

Record qualifying for 2010: 10-0-0

Record qualifying for 2014: 2-2-0

That's my point
