Search feature not working?

Trying to use the search feature and keep getting redirected to the stop sign.
On phone and desktop.
Trying to find info to see if a topic was posted before I post a thread. Don't want to get german'ed to death.

me too. it's just the search feature. i get the hourglass thingy for about 20 seconds and then the stop sign.
ETA: oh, and Germans.

The search feature is limited and gets blamed for a lot of poster shortcomings, but it is all we have.

Still stuck, and every time I try it, it freezes the whole site. Not only can't I go to another page, when I close the browser (Google Chrome) and re-open, I can't get back to TD until after a long pause.

No, really. Whatever bug lives in the search function follows you around wherever you go afterwards. Once I use it, my entire browser slows down to a crawl, whether on this site or elsewhere.
