Every time someone plays me a Coheed and Cambria song, I start out like this and then the singer starts to sing and then i'm like
Probably decent music but i just can't get past the voice.

I think they are pretty underrated, they put on a really good show. Claudio can shred.

Agreed. Saw them several years ago at The Sugar Mill when they opened for Killswitch Engage. Great show...

My favorite band. Just saw them live last week in Atlanta for the fourth or fifth time.

Love all their albums except Year of the Black Rainbow, which has its bright spots but isn't on the same level as all the others.

I kind of get people saying they don't like Claudio's voice because it's really unique, but they're ridiculously talented musicians and when I started listening, Claudio's voice was only distracting for awhile. Now he's one of the best singers working. He steps it up to a new level on The Afterman double album too.

Yeah, year of the black rainbow was odd, had a completely different sound from the rest of the albums

Coheed is one of my favorite bands. Even aside from their musical abilities, the depth of the band and the story and the music is amazing.

I could talk for days on end about Coheed, but I'll leave it at that for now.

This is the issue for me. The dude's voice is just so shrill and grating.

Agree to disagree I guess. I can see how it can be off-putting though. I personally love it. To each his own
