It's fine to be fired up, but actually having a defined pattern of play works better.
The biggest failure I've seen from France during this tournament has been their lack of establishing and sticking to a pattern. They seem to be running around like a bunch of schoolboys instead of professional players who would work to set up multiple phases of play.
Of course poor selections don't help either, along with your home union's refusal to do you any favors.
