Tax question

Home Improvement---The wife and I added on a 20K patio addition to our home last fall. Can I claim any of this? TIA

Possibly the interest you paid on it. If you figure out a way to claim a slab of concrete on taxes, let me know. If got a big yard and could pour some concrete in it every year if that means I get a tax break.

I'd love to be preparing tax returns in areas impacted by Tropical Storm Sandy. I'd be going door to door telling people I could file their returns such that they would get every dollar they had withheld refunded.
