Oh yeah I've seen people drive up in the morning with a livewell in their truck with bass in it already.

Not a fan. I just don't think it was a "New Orleans trash" move. Not like he was boasting about getting the fish fry ready. Article said he doesn't take bass from City Park....and why would you

I personally know the guy who caught the fish. Nice guy who usually does catch and release. Very avid hunter and fisherman. He usually comes and teal hunts with me a couple times each season.

I haven't talked to him about this catch yet, but the NOLA article I saw a few days ago said he was shaking with excitement. Nice friggin hawg

Ha me too. He called me today so I came here to see if a thread had been started already. I think this is the biggest bass he has caught to date....never would have thought it would be at City Park.
