No one talks about this but probably my favorite Zelda.

The first game I ever owned was Kirby's Dreamland 2 on Gameboy.
I can't really pinpoint the series that brought me into gaming because my childhood is just a blur of games at my friend's house, but I think Donkey Kong Country (SNES) was the most influential early on.

For me it was arcades, mainly Time Pilot and some game where you shot a crossbow. May have actually been called Crossbow. There was an old Star Wars game that was pretty fun too. Then on Atari it was Asteroids and a game called Combat that about 10 different tank and plane games on it.

I vividly remember playing California Games and Hero nonstop on the old Atari. Also remember E.T. (such a crappy game). Couldn't be any older than 4 or 5 at the time.
After that, it was Super Mario Bros/Duck Hunt, Goal, Bayou Billy (also crappy) on the NES.

Crash Bandicoot (PS1)
My dad had an SNES and I played a little bit, but that first Crash game was the first one I wore out. Loved it.

I love Link To The Past. I recently beat it on the Wii.

I'll probably win based on absurdity of the game(s) that did it.
Lode Runner
Super Solvers Outnumbered
Spelling Jungle
And I can't forget the original Math Blaster. I played the crap out of all of those on my parents POS Compaq. I was about 6 and an only child; I'd get home from school an hour before they got off work, so I'd let myself in, fix a snack, and spell or do math problems until they got home. Those were the first games I remember playing extensively. Oh, and Oregon Trail. I loved to hunt
