The best surround sound scene ever is the bank shotout scene from Heat.
Also, Jurassic Park is an awesome one.
War movies are solid too, like Saving Private Ryan (epsecially the opening scenes). We Were Soldiers is actually another great one that I found out one day how solid the SS was.
But it definitely starts with the shootout from Heat. No question.
