Last year I bought a 2004 Yamaha FX140, got a good price on it. Meauxjeaux2 and I fixed the trim but there are a few other things I want to do. I am looking at putting a Riva RPM kit on it, I think we can do everything except the impeller. Is there a good shop in Baton Rouge that is good with Jet Skis?

TIA

you are going to drop a grand on something that will make a jetski got 4mph faster?

If you are dicking around with jet skis you obviously aren't concerned with wasting money.

To answer both:

1: Yep I am and it's not just the MPH.
2: Agreed, I work in the oilfield and still cheaper than buying a new one but I may just do that. Still deciding.

Why cant you do the impeller yourself, they arent that hard

and you gain more than just the 4mph with a kit like that, you gain acceleration, and quite a bit of stability and cornering

I dont know how the impeller is on there whether it is pressed on or what so I don't want to tackle that. I also need to have the pisser thing fixed, whoever had it before me disconnected it for some damn reason. I runs fine just want it like it should be.

all you need is a 20 dollar tool, its easy. Hell I did several while I was in High School. even at the ramps. Some require silicone to be applied around the punp in the process now, so you can't do all of them and ride, but its easy. if you are doing the pump seals and other stuff, you are half way there
