Looking to start a small garden. Where is a place that you can buy topsoil by the yard? Drive up and have them dump a yard in the back of a truck. Something cheaper than buying a bunch of bags from Home Depot.

I would definitely mix in some kind of organic matter. Grass clippings, rice hulls, few bags of potting soil, etc.

Otherwise that shyt will be hard as a wedding dick.

Get garden mix from cleggs or la nursery. Don't have to mix anything into it. Perfect for building beds or gardens.

That's a big plus.

I recommend raised beds.

I just learned last fall how much more peppers I could make planting some in late summer compared to spring. I'm planning on planting both times this year.

I like Celebrity and Creole varieties for tomatoes.

I used to do landscape work all through college, we used CNI its on the service road by sherwood siegan area, behind the diamond Mazda. They have great top soil and mix, good prices and it doesnt have shite tons of weeds ie: nutsedge which is hard as shite to kill and is very invasive. You definitly dont want to just use top soil make sure to till in some of the ground where you will make the beds some clay is good as well as it helps to give the plants a firm root anchor. Also highley recomend some type of manure be tilled in as well it will have your vegies looking better than Whole Foods.

Cleggs used to deliver. I would think they still do. Can just get a yard dumped in your yard if that would be easier.

Yep. I think it's a $40 delivery charge. Might as well get 6 yards if you are getting 1.
