I see Square One as an exaggeration. We'd have Davis and a good cap situation. If we didn't land Davis, Gordon would be the team. With Davis here and Gordon's seeming need (in my opinion) to be the #1 guy (he won't be that here before his current deal ends . . . right now he is), then flip him for the right deal.
Your point is a good one, I just see the inevitability of moving him in the next couple of years and have no issue with moving him. As a fan, I want him gone today. As a rational interested party, I want them to hold on for a deal that bring in something good . . . that Deng deal I concocted would be an example, Barnes and stuff that didn't mess up the 2014 offseason would be good.
Dealing just to get rid of him is not what I want at all, and I'm just not buying Thompson. If we get him, I hope I learn why I'm wrong.
Also, I very clearly stated that such a move would be the last I'd suffer gladly. Coming out of the 2014 offseason, it's all tweaks on the way to the title hunt, then we see, or I'm maddern'ell.

About the turnover / rebounding stuff:
They have some common ground, but I see them as coming from different sources. Thus, these sorts of weaknesses can be covered to a degree.
It's a pretty deep discussion that is not really appropriate here, but in short, to me, a turnover can really only happen on offense, and a lost rebound is, in a sense, an turnover by another name. . . either you missed a shot and now the bad guys have a shot, or you gave the bad guys another shot after their miss . . . does it really matter how you failed to score . . . no.
Still, you can replace one guy's turnover propensity by not giving him the ball in certain situations, replacing that potential turnover with someone else's AND likely slightly better defense coming at you since you aren't getting it to the turnover machine and the bad guys know that.
So, one player's turnover rate is not a huge concern depending on the use for him on a given team . . . it's a nice to have, but can matter less in some cases. Aminu's being somewhat limited by himself and the team to drive to the basket helps his case, for instance.

Ditto. I guess when a team fricks you over while smiling in your face, i guess it's hard to get over that shite.... But he needs to. He knows they need them, just as much as he needs them. This season is virtually a wash. They need to just continue to gel, those who make it past tomorrow and the offseason of course.

Give me Klay Thompson over EG. I love Thompson's game. Outstanding shooter. Good size. Not an explosive athlete. Heady player.
I'd prefer EG over Harrison Barnes, mainly because over the long run, tall athletes will minimal skill are weeded out.

Blah, blah, blah. Lack of contribution is just that. An asset is just that, however valuable. Gordon is a playing asset . . . and asset that plays, sometimes. How can this team truly develop when they know for a fact that this guy won't be playing in one in four games (has played 19 and missed 7 starting with his return game, will miss 4 of the remaining 27 games if the restrictions remain, so 42 played, max, and 11 missed (and the records are 10-9 with vs 3-4 without, which is as close as you can get to 0.500 ball with an odd number of games in each set))?
If his knee isn't better A YEAR after his surgery (14th), then why is there an expectation these restrictions will ever be removed? It's one thing to believe or hope that something can be done, but what data suggests this should be the expectation?
He played in back-to-back last season. What's so special about playing in a back-to-back? Why not play limited minutes? Why no limit minutes in both games? Why can he play the second half of games? He practices on back-to-back days. It's not as intense, sure, but if he needs 48h between stretches of play, it sounds like he needs more rehab.

I was all for eg for klay at first but after reading the warriors forums, majority of them really wanna get rid of Klay and say he's dumb, has a low bball IQ and takes too many shots.
There's obviously a reason they wanna get rid of him so bad.
But on the bright side atleast he will actually play!
