Who are these nobodies?

These are two completely different kinds of 1911s. A Dan Wesson is custom and the Colt is not. That does not mean in any way, shape, or form that the Colt is inferior.

Two polar opposites but what would you rather? I like the gold cup but the nightmare is pretty bad. Only bad thing about thE nightmare is its chances of being banned.

What's the general take on Colt vs Springfield. Looks like the comparable Springfields are generally a little more expensive.

I don't own any Colt 1911's, even though I'd like to. I have shot a few though and as far as I can tell the older Colts (pre - 1986) are .

The newer ones are about on par with Springfield. It's just Springfield's are easier to come by.
