If you think old movies suck because of black and white film, camera angles and and obsolete sound tracks, then you are probably missing out on some great old film fun. Here are a few from people who thinks today's vampires in love, computer generated crap without a plot and zombies up the wazoo also suck. They may be dated but are worth the time.
Casablanca
The Quiet Man
It happens every spring
Gentleman Jim
Abbott and Costello meet Frankenstein
Seance on a wet afternoon

Alfred Hitchcock has about 10+ masterpieces that I would put up against any movie from the 21st Century:
Notorious
Strangers on a Train
Rebecca
Rear Window
Vertigo
Shadow of a Doubt
North by Northwest
The 39 Steps
The Birds
Marnie
Dial M for Murder
Rope
Psycho (edited because, somehow, I forgot to include this)
These films possess the most sophisticated/brilliantly framed "camera angles" of all time.
