Defensive Swag

I feel like this years defense will be much more energetic and have more swag due to their youth, unlike last years defense that seemed like a piece was missing all year (TM7). Thoughts?

The younger guys (Mills, Collins, Martin) will be better, I really believe that. And they didn't play terrible this past year. With Chavis coaching them, they'll only get better.
LB play will miss Minter, no doubt, but I do think Debo will step in and play hard. He was playing tough on special teams last season.
Rasco, Hunter on the ends will be very good. Beckwith and Herron could get playing time as well. Freak and Ego will be the tackles.
I feel good about it, personally.

I agree, I personally find it a lot more exciting to watch younger players who seem to be a lot more hungry to prove themselves on the field. Combine that with some leadership returning in Barrow (hopefully Tahj Jones will step up as well) and we have all the pieces to have an amazing year defensively.

IMO Mills played better then Simon this season so im excited about this defense next year!

I'm not going to dog Simon but he didn't have the best year but I agree. Mills looks hungry and Collins isn't far behind. Martin looks good at safety, just young.

I think this years defense will be better than last years. Going to miss Minter, but LSU's LBs are raw. DB's should be better, more experienced. DLine will be young but good. I can see Frank Herron getting some DE rotation. Hunter is going be a stud on at DE. And Ronald Martin is a baller.

not worried about SWAG as much as tackling and blown assignments, which maturity will fix.
