HOWEVER, we went out to look at the parades and returned around 10:30. By that time, the crowd had gotten much thicker, and it was mostly 20 somethings with the spiked hair and conspicuous tatoos. The 80's music was gone, and they were playing modern hiphop and R&B. So it went from great to sucky in a very short span.

well that fricking blows. hopefully that was an anomaly based upon it being Super Bowl/Mardi Gras and not the norm for this place.

I've been in twice int he evening. The first time, no one was there but a few people. Second time it got crowded. I didn't see the spiked hair/tattoo crowd, more the spiked hair and wearing a skinny suit with a knotted up tie at 9 pm type. I left about 9:30, but it was steadily filling up. But, the crowd was a real mix of regular people like me and a few douchey seeming people (I try not to judge, but if the boot fits.... I think its location will draw all sort of random people. But, I don't want to hang out and listen to rap and hiphop.

Had lunch today. Burger and fries came out fast. Burger was a little small vs. the bun, but very good. The fries are fricking stupid. $4 for a gigantic basket, as in I hardly put a dent in them, and I'm what some may refer to as "of hefty appetite". Hopefully that's just an issue with the mardi gras menu.

They have a huge banner being pulled around by a plane advertising right now. It was following the Ciroc plane.

Had lunch there yesterday. It was like $16 for a Brian burger and fries.

Burger was ok. Bun was kinda stale and toasted to mask that fact. Meat was cooked fine, but the bacon spread completely overpowered the meat and cheese. That may be a plus for some, but I like to taste everything on a burger.

Fries were plain and good, a huge basket of them. All in all, it was a nice day and I was eating outside, so no real complaints. The CBD burger game is weak, so I could see myself going every now and then for lunch. I just don't think it's the kind of place I'd go to for a weekend lunch.

Just happened to be passing by Barcadia around midnight last night and it was closed on one of the biggest weekends of the year. Lights on and chairs turned upside down.
