I just thought of something... what if Johnny Jones complained to the refs about UK having 6 men on the floor to ice the FT shooter? If so, pretty smart by CJJ.

The Montgomery station cut to a local show as we fouled behind by 1 with 3.1 to go.

Could someone please explain what happened with 6 players on the court. Who had 6 players? Was it called? How did KY get 4 pts in 3 seconds?

TIA

As others have already posted and nbow this team has tremendous heart and plays hard. LSU did everything needed to win except rebound, which is more of a case of lack of depth and size than boxing out or effort. I though JOB3 may have had one of his best games of his career considering the circumstances. Like also to point out the Tigers shot 12-15 from the FT line for 80%. What is encouraging is that two of our better players had off nights in Coleman and Carmouche. I personally enjoy watching this team play and I am not disappointed in the loss and see improvement which is all you can ask for at this point.

So close. Had they played like that in the other SEC games they would have only two loses. Great effort.

Underperforming in the SEC but the future looks bright.

I agree omega. I wish we had played this way in earlier games that were more winnable, but you can't turn back the clock.

Let's hope this is the beginning of this type of performance the rest of the year and not an anomoly.

Geaux Tigers!!

Now thats how you lose. Really proud of the guys today. We were totally out-classed down low, and their points in the paint were just too much to overcome, but we almost did. Played with heart, on the road. Can't reall ask for more, for the talent we have.

I felt like we really could've pulled this one out. When we were down by 1 I thought we had it.

It was frustrating to see our guys test them down low while we had multiple shooters wide open behind the arch, but overall we had a solid day offensively in the post. We played smart basketball for the most part, Carmouche and our guards as a whole played outstanding in transition offense and didn't make any dumb passes. JOB had a career day as well and I think if a few calls go our way we would've snuck out with the W. I'm pumped for Mizzou

Man, I wish JOB3 had seen Hickey open at the end there when he got that rebound and had kicked it out for him for the 3 instead of reflexively putting it back. I would think that would be something they talk about in that situation.

Hard to fault JOB3 today though. He played with a consistent energy and fire that I've seldom seen him bring here. He did still jack a couple of fallaways...I sure wish he could get past those. He hasn't made one of those in a long time.

Fall-aways? I remember only one that could even be considered a fall-away and that being debatable.

The one three he made, which I'm still did not quite like him taking as he's a 22% 3-pt shooter (but he made it so I'll let it pass) and one mid-range were straight up jump shots. There was maybe one I'll might give you as a fall-away but he missed two others and 1-20 ain't gonna cut it. He needs to 86 those from his repetoire. He's too much better when he's agressive.

Still needs to limit the turnovers. He had 4 this game and 5 each of the two games before.

But I like that he's rebounding more now. Hickey's our best player but JOB3 is so key to any success as he's our only real inside presence.

I love the ADP story but he's getting a bit more exposed by teams and his PT is getting limited accordingly. And he's really struggling to hold on to rebounds.

Outscored Uk in the paint in the second half 18-14. With UK's first round big men. I hope we play this well against Mizzou. Idc if we are losing games... I LOVE LSU BASKETBALL

Our second half yesterday is what I've been waiting for since SEC play began. Hope it is not just an anomoly and we go back to the stagnant half-court sets we've been throwing out there.

Mizzou may have gotten a bit of their swag back yesterday and I think they get that injured big man back as well.

So I'm not expecting a win, but if we play more like we did the second half against Kentucky and less like the way we played against the beatable teams we lost to, I'll be happy win or lose.
