I really don't think there is a more intriguing storyline in the entire NFL next season.

Sean Payton became known as one of, if not the best, play callers in the NFL and built the Saints into a franchise that had won 13, 11, and 13 games with a Super Bowl the past three seasons before dropping to 7 this season without his guidance.

Seeing how Payton responds after being completely removed from the league for a year is going to be fascinating.

The question is, will he be rusty and struggle to find his rhythm after so much time away, or will he be even better after watching the game from a distance giving him a different and perhaps even better perspective.

I think the idea of a brilliant offensive mind being able to view the game and the course of an entire season play out without any sort of pressure or the constant need to be focused on the next matchup may give him even more ideas and understanding of how to attack defenses.

Maybe it's just wishful thinking, and I admit I was one of the ones who had high hopes for 2012 even without Payton, so maybe I'm just not being realistic.

Still, it is going to be interesting as hell, and I can't wait for September to see how the story of 2013 unfolds.

Difference of time between op and Payton is 5 minutes. He couldn't have possibly typed that shite on while getting his multiple fap on. I question his Saints fanaticism.

I got a text while I was typing it, and clicked over to see the news break.

Total coincidence.........Or is it???

I'm sure he saw how bad the defense was and has a plan.

Bill Clinton would say , "it's the defense stupid. ". If we cannot make plays on defense , drew can throw for 6k yards next season and we will end up at 8-8 .

barring 5 interception games, we win 11 games. Then we win our division, NFC champs, and then beat the Patriots or the Steelers in the superbowl.
