He also led the league in turnovers. Turnovers are far more important than passing yards and completion percentage.

Turnovers come when you pass as much as the Saints do. His completion % and qb rating are tops in the league. It says all you need to know.

Favre, Marino, Moon, Elway, Manning, Tarkenton, Unitas. They all rank at the top of career ints thrown. It comes with the territory.

So we are guaranteed 0-4 against those teams?

If they do, I'll be glad to admit I'm wrong. I just don't see it. They play in New England, Chicago, and Seattle next season, and host the 49ers. Unless they go crazy with FAs this season, there are 4 losses right there. That doesn't include the divisional match-ups.

Anyone who pencils in losses prior to the season obviously has no clue about the NFL game.

actually, in 2011 he finished 13th in interceptions while having ZERO lost fumbles. While he tied for the most interceptions in 2012 during a freak season, he wasn't near the top in turnovers (your boy Freeman is up there)

He shattered his own (and NFL record) completion %. Led in yards and TD's. Only a fool would argue that he wasn't elite in 2011. It was one of the all-time great seasons by a QB. Peyton Manning's last MVP had less touchdowns, less yards, lower completion %, and more interceptions.

The Buccaneers also have an up-and-coming team. Freeman seemed to mature this year. Doug Martin is a stud. Schiano has brought a new mentality to the team.

a 41-0 nothing mentality with players and coaches fighting on the sidelines? They lost 5 of their last 6 games, including getting shutout by the worst defense in NFL history

quote:

The Saints were just as undisciplined with Peyton. They've been in the bottom 1/3 of the league in terms of penalty yards per game since 2008.

1 = fewest

2011- 9th
2010- 21st
2009- 17th
2008 - 24th.

So we've finished in the bottom 1/3 once in that entire time span. Any other bullshite you want to throw out there?

What?

Brees hasn't been elite for 2 seasons now (in terms of turnovers and decision making).

Brees balled out in '11.
