Big game for WB at SC tonight

As always, if you do not care about WB, great, move on, do not need your pithy posts here...
For those who do care (over 2000 season ticket holders) big game tonight. SEC road wins are tough to get and SC and LSU both 2-2 in SEC. SC defense is one of top in D1 so far, so hope JK is back and can maybe get an early 3 or two. I would think Tigers may try and run a bit and while I do worry about our ability to score, think we can certainly win this and this starts very tough 7 game stretch that we need to try and go 4-3 on.

This is going to be a tough road game to win. I'm actually more impressed by our offense than our defense. I think if we can score 60 or more against that defense we have a VERY good chance of coming out of there with a win.

Would like to see everyone hot(pardon the pun) in the same night. Kenney and Webb crashed 2 agmes ago, so any improvement and consistant play by the others would be a help. Oh yea, defense.

Our HC talks a good game but she ain't walking the walk. She's a goldbricker and our AD does not hold her to a high standard.
We will rue the days of Sue, Pokey and Starkey. This bunch is lazy and immature...but time will take care of her. Dimples and High Heels is not enough to sustain an SEC WBB Program...

This would be a big win for the Lady Tigers, but I don't see it happening. We are just too inconsistent on offense and give up too many wide open shots on defense. I am encouraged by Ballard and think she has been a spark as a freshman, but other than Plaisance there is just no consistency on the team. Webb and Lutley are so up and down and you never know what you are going to get scoring wise from them. It could be 20 points or 2 points. They were great in Gainesville for about 30 minutes, but over a period of 3 or 4 minutes let a 9 point lead evaporate with poor decision making and bad shots. I was one of the first on the board to suggest Caldwell as the coach and I hope she will be successful, but often it seems that we don't really have a game plan either on offense or defense. I don't see a lot of toughness in the team and they seem to fold in the face of pressure at times.

But also, let us continue to keep in mind that THIS team is young, AND has people in the starting lineup who are starting for the first time in their careers. It's quite possible, since this is essentially a rebuilding year, that this team won't get to that level of effort and consistency we need to see till late in the season.

not sure what standard anyone would expect 1.5 years in?
mistert, while I may agree with some of your issues with NC, she certainly deserves a few years to see what happens and hopefully she can get us back to at least near where we were a few years ago. She is the coach and this is our team and I support them. The time to say she cannot do it and is "all mouth" only comes IMO if we are not at least .500+ in SEC and in NCAA's next year. (Unless things really go bad this year say 10th or lower in SEC)

This is definitely a winnable game. Tough yes, but definitely winnable. I see it as coming down to the ability to shoot the three by JK and Webb. If they are hitting from behind the arc, there is a good chance of pulling this game out.

I saw a much improved defensive effort last night and in the game vs MSU. But what this team still lacks..................which is indicative of lots of teams playing so many young players..............they are not able to finish close games and get a win. If the game is close near the end, this team makes a lot of mistakes. But, as a fan I thought there was much better focus as well as the aforementioned defensive effort.

All I see is an overpaid coach who continues to lose.

Clearly your vision is skewed. "Continues to lose" doesn't even describe the 1 1/2 seasons she's been here.
