Im going to bet Herron grows into a DT much like Brockers did. He killed it at the all star game at DT.

Won't happen. Brockers had to make the transition because we were lacking DT's. Not the case with Herron since we have LaCoutre, Gilmore, Bain, and Lawson. Herron is staying at DE. Gilmore and LaCoutre are most likely in the DT rotation next year, with Bain and Lawson with huge upside as well

What I saw, was him playing DE. On one play he got a sack by looping to the inside. If he played DT, I missed it.

He did some. Just like Nkemdiche played some DT in the under armor game

Best thing about all the talent is that at LSU it doesn't really matter who the starters are. We rotate so much that I basically look at the top 4-5 at DE and the top 4-5 at DT and base our level from there.

The next 2 years most likely

DE
Rasco
Hunter
Herron
Allen
Neal/Patterson

DT
Freak(1 year)
Thomas(gonna be a good one)
Gilmore
Lacouture
Bain/Johnson/Lawson

I can live with that group, especially when the youngsters get quality game experience. Gonna be a bit scary good in '14 and '15. Add in the kids we'll add in the '14 class and we're good.(5-6 DL most likely)

Don't forget Maclin and Allen.

I completely agree. Plus I expect at least one of the newcomers to be a star right away, with several more providing a solid contribution in their very first year in the SEC.

Plus Ego and Maclin might be good players. Ego especially, he's great against the run and taking on double teams, VERY valuable. Maclin also has potential because he's a great athlete. We'll see if they're up the challenge next year

I talked to a tackle who played against him in all star game; Herron definitely lived up to the hype.
