Probably doesn't need much precision for that frozen pot pie. Ruin a few expensive steaks or a loaf of bread that you took 2 days crafting...you'll see its value.

i like that the diameter is small. my current instant read works great and is quick (taylor elite 608 i think) but leaves a big-arse hole and i lose a ton of juice after sticking the meat.
