Gee, really? No suprise.
Florida is also included amongst those "hardest hit."
Alabama and Georgia are "breathing easier."
TAMU has a "mixed bag."

• LSU: No team in history has seen so many players bolt for the NFL in the same year, though the Tigers' 10 includes previously exiled star Tyrann Mathieu. It's a testament to just how much talent Les Miles has stockpiled in recent years. The group includes four standouts -- defensive ends Sam Montgomery and Barkevious Mingo, linebacker Kevin Minter and safety Eric Reid -- who garnered at least All-SEC honors in 2012, and a fifth, tackle Chris Faulk, who was named preseason All-America before suffering a season-ending knee injury in September. Even the Tigers' punter (Brad Wing) turned pro. Some defectors will be easier to replace than others. Two tailbacks, Spencer Ware and Michael Ford, turned pro, yet two others, freshman Jeremy Hill and sophomore Kenny Hilliard, rushed for more yards last year and will return. But Minter was the heart of the Tigers' defense in 2012, and LSU's perpetually deep defensive line will be tested by the departures of Montgomery, Mingo, fellow draft entrant Bennie Logan and senior starters Josh Downs and Lavar Edwards.

Wow, thanks for letting me know AGAIN .
I am glad a poster had to point this out because being an avid LSU Tiger follower I was having a hard time figuring it out if we were hit hard by all the early departure to the NFL. That you so much for pointing out the insanely obvious.

Howie really should go back to comedy or even that suitcase picking show he was doing.

Howie Mandel turn sports writer? All these guys except for Faulk were ready to go, they have been at LSU long enough! But this is what the big time programs do, just reload, they will be missed, but they will be replaced by future pros, that is what this business is all about.

Stuart Mandell on August 10th, 2011:
"(LSU) has all the ingredients for a textbook 'flop' team. In fact I'm puzzled why the Tigers are 10 spots ahead of the same Arkansas team that both beat them head-to-head last season and earned a BCS berth. Mark it down here: The Razorbacks will finish at least 10 spots higher than LSU in the final poll."
4 months later, LSU was 13-0, the unanimous number 1, and just beat Arkansas 41-17.
never forget this: no one in the media has any idea what the frick they're talking about ever.

if he keeps writing this sort of thing he's bound to be right sooner or later.

The defections will hurt a lot more than you believe. If you think we are going to replace most of those guys with the same quality, then you are wrong. Losing those guys was a big hit. Next Year's team went from having all the pieces together to make a championship run with Mett as a senior to third or fourth in the SEC West. We will be a few injuries away from being in serious trouble.
