The muzzle discipline is the only problem I have with this. If he's gonna sling it over his back like that, have the muzzle pointed up.
Otherwise carry it ready forward so you know where it's pointed.

Exactly this putz clearly lacks the training to carry around his assault rifle with the way the gun is pointing. I don't give two shits about the holstered handgun but I do care about some mental midget who is flaring around an assault rifle with the barrel aiming towards children in the shopping mall. If he was trained by the military then the military is totally fricked and we need to retrain our soldiers because this isn't how you carry your weapon.
I would have knocked this moron flat arse out if my kids were next to him and that muzzle got even remotely close to them.
Jackoffs like this are exactly why we gun owners are getting a bad reputation.

Me too. But to make it out like he is some sort of hero for carrying is just misplaced. He's an idiot. Legal idiot, but an idiot non the less. He's trying to draw attention to himself - yet doing it while pointing his weapon at everyone. He should have been kicked out of that JC Penny for being such a jackass

The way it is slung is the correct way. All he has to do is reach down and pull it up to his shoulder, charge and switch selector to fire. If the barrel is in the air then he has to unsling it and then charge and switch selector to fire.
Since you obviously weren't in the military, you should not be commenting about the training he has received. Seconds count when the shooting starts.
