My old Spanish profe clearly hated Catalonians.
These people are complicated for even those that they care for.
As I said, they have ´mala follá´. In English, they´re prickly pears.
The Catalonian is hated on the mainland because he is active, very salesman like, but above all, because they always want more.
I could go into a long diatribe, but suffice it to say, they were given, and have always been given, special leeway financially, and prosper. Because they prosper, they feel they shouldn´t pay taxes commensurate with their income.
In a nutshell, it is MUCH more complicated than that.

Probably, we´ve got some Jew blood in our area, I have an uncle who swears we´ve got Jew blood, but for the most part, we´re pasty white, tall, green or blue eyed.
That´s not a bad thing, I like most Israelis, nearly all, I don´t like American Jews, however. That´s been my experience.

Yeah, I was rear ended going into Madrid to sell the latest strip of RO, amongst other things, to Spain´s biggest retailer, and the cop who came to the scene saw a sample on the deck of the back end of my car, and offered to heliport me in to the major trauma hospital there, because he thought I was a player for Real Oviedo.
