That said the GB-SEA officials showed more incompetence. Braves-Cards ump just made a bad call in a playoff game, but it was not the total mess of the MNF game.

A ball hit to the outfield, by definition, isn't an in-field fly.

What I'd like to see is an inverted version of that line... As in how far toward the mound or CF would that be. I get what you are saying, but the distance the ball is hit isn't actually in the rule. Both sides of the argument have a valid point imo, which is why it's so controversial

The butthurt in the Braves fans is still so, so strong.

Braves/cards and its not even close. Worst call I've ever seen.

Not even close. There are two in baseball that I can think of immediately that are worse. The play that ruined the perfect game for the Tigers, and the play this past year (Dodgers and Rockies I believe) where guy was called out at first when the first baseman was literally 2 or 3 feet off the bag.
ETA: I guess technically you could have never seen those, but there was a big deal made about both of them when they happened (Tigers more so than Rockies)

This. The only part about that play that was wrong was that he called it late.

Seahawks / Green Bay, simply because it is a football game and therefor more important than any baseball game ever.

Another whiny braves fan.
Did you really think that chokejob of a team was going anywhere even if they had the world series put on a silver platter?

Braves/Cardinals. Biggest screw job in recent memory.
Seattle/Green Bay was bad, but they still both made the playoffs so that negates that Green Bay loss.

Seattle vs Green Bay was worse. It happened @ the end of the game and was its deciding factor.
Add into that fact that if Green Bay wins we get the 2 seed not San Fran and @ home I'd bet the Packers would have won.
The Braves had plenty of chances to get back and win the game. Yes the call was bad but the Braves not the refs ultimately screwed themselves out of the playoffs.

Mavs/Heat first finals, a complete joke.
Lakers/Kings or Trailblazers, take your pick.
Indians/Braves World Series. Strike zone for Maddox and Glavine was 6 feet wide.

I mean I understand the argument that there was a simultaneous catch more than I understand that a shortstop getting out of the way of a ball 15 feet before it hits the ground means he's camped under the ball.
