no, i know that. it just makes it seem like someone had a different idea, so you rushed to a vote to try to get yours in. I don't understand that need to start a voting thread when people are still throwing out ideas.
It was just rushed and then Sentrius went full retard trying to get Stout's design in.
Honestly, I think the best idea is to table this and come back in a few weeks and start over. I'd hate to have anyone pissed off over something liek this.

Thats what im saying, when i called for the vote, there were really no more ideas being thrown around, everyone was pretty satisfied with where we were at. Should i have stalled the vote at that point when stout showed up? possibly..but i still say that all of those people that came out of the woodworks would not have seen any of that until there was a voting thread (something they can participate in..YAY). I wasnt tying to screw anyone out of ideas. My thinking at that time after i had called a vote and then stout posted was..ok, we have mine that people seem to like, and we have stouts that people seem to like..we are good, lets put it to a vote. And if after we decide on a main theme we want, we can do some minor tweakage as needed......obviously i was majorly fricking mistaken

it became "that hard" when Sentrius went to the Help Board, had an admin unsticky the Godfather's thread, and then purposefully created a new thread with an agenda to make sure that Stout's design won and the Godfather's lost.
Funny thing is that in the original Godfather voting thread, Stout's idea looked like it was gonna win out anyway. Depending on when the voting stopped. Who knows? I had no idea that a vote had even started until there were two different voting threads.

It was actually 1 vote down to stouts and i was going to suggest when i got home that night that we suspend voting since we obviously had two very popular ideas and have a revote on just those two ideas or ideas on tweaks to them and then revote...but that went out the window when i got home and saw what had been going on

This is what should have happened. I had no idea about the Hollywood sign one until it popped up and thought "What is this, I don't remember seeing this before."
It was surprising.
