CFL Coaches in the NFL

Lots of rumors swirling about marc trestman to the bears, and even if Jimmy Johnson is talking out his arse, which is probable, Trestman has been on lots of teams radars.

Are there any high profile coaches in the league who have made their names in Canada?

i guess football is the same game at all levels... Jay Gruden was one of the best in Arenaball and he's been successful

but a CFL head coach directly to NFL head coach? i think NFL guys might not have the respect they should for him

Marc Trestman has a lot of NFL experience. He didn't make his name in Canada.

he bounced around as qb/oc for three decades. never been a HC.

seems a strange career path to never get a HC gig in college or the NFL, then have a few successful years in Canada and all of sudden be a hot name.

It's unconventional, but it's not like he isn't known in NFL circles.

Yes. So did Marv Levy and Forrest Gregg.
