Anyone have any experience with AMEX or Ally online banks? Looking to take most of our savings from Capital One and put it into one of these banks. The Cap One acct has an APY of .40%. Amex is .90%, Ally is .95%. Currently have an AMEX CC so I feel pretty comfortable with them.

I have used AMEX savings for several years and it is really easy to use to invest and transfer money on-line.

What about ING? CapOne just purchased them, and their savings are .9% APY. There's no integration at this point (just getting started in takeover), but it should come along shortly.

I use ING and Sharebuilder, so it works great for me.

I have amex, ally, and ing. Happy with all 3. Can't go wrong with any. ING log in process is a little difficult but its no big deal. Find the best rate and go for it !

I have accounts with AMEX and ING (now part of Cap One). Happy with both. Ally looks good too, but I passed on them due to their large government ownership (they're the old GMAC), just my personal preference to favor the others.

Funny you bring up Amex Savings because I just got a letter about their program...

Also looked up Ally, since someone mentioned it in this thread, and they are currently at .95, the same as Amex.

I use Cap One myself and clearly my savings are just rotting at that POS bank. I have two AMEX cards so based on the posts in this thread I may look into moving my savings to them. Can I just transfer my Cap One savings to AMEX online? That's a scary thought.

Have AMEX cc and online savings. Really happy with the customer service and flexibility to transfer funds online between accounts.
