True, and as soon as he got a contract he sucked. 2 first round picks for a RB and he don't take advantage of it. The fact of the matter is he had a very poor eye for talent. Had mueller not supplied him with his staple players his run would've been much shorter

yeah, that was terrible.

We really haven't had a force like Glover in the middle of our defense since he left. But we all saw what a talent like his could do for your defense. The year he 17 sacks(2000 season) the Saints lead the league in sacks with 66

Ill never understand why we couldn't keep glover. Oh well, i would hope for it again so that we end up with SP. Payton is the coach I coveted 3 years prior to his signing by the saints. I thought drew would be mediocre at best but I knew all along what Payton was.

I was living in Europe and ESPN is pretty much the only real channel we had on AFN and I must have spent an entire 2 weeks just watching that ESPN bottom screen scroll to see If we got Payton. Ecstasy when it finally came through.
