whats the deal with this guy, is he still silently committed to us or whatever? Bc if so that's huge especially since QL and CG could be in academic trouble and possibly not make it here. If neither of them make here(and pray to God they do make it here) they could put McNeil as the receiving TE and just put Desean Smith at WR bc from the updates from the army AA game hes shown to have some really good hands and been showing out at WR. Just thought one of yall would have some inside news or something

So I guess he is just coming in the spring? Because I thought his issue was finding somewhere that will take him early but was coming up blank unless someone we had planned to come early can't anymore, this is after Diarse took Leslie's spot

If so, definitely like the duo of he and DeSean coming this year with Jacory possibly next year

I hope he qualifies but it's best to not expect it and let him be a bonus in the summer if he does. Same boat as Leslie and Gardner. I'd love to get all 3 in but at this point I'll be happy if 1 of them ever plays for LSU. Not getting my hopes up on any of them ever suiting up for LSU. Looks like we're gonna have to hope Landry, Beckham, Wright, Boone, Dural, Johnson and Diarse are ready to be a good, strong wr corp next year. That immediate help guy with size doesn't appear likely to happen unless we pull someone late.

All these guys can run and catch the ball. I can't believe that a passing offense will be saved by some one who is 3 inches taller. It isn't one guy, but a passing scheme that utilizes ALL the talent we have. If we have smaller faster guys why not throw and run? What happened to the stretch screens to the wide outs that we were using early in the year. Odell, Jarvis and McGee are dangerous out there. Get them the ball and get the 10 guys out of the defensive run box!

ALL and I mean ALL of the great qbs take the pressure off of themselves by using the TE. It is a nightmare for a dfeense to cover an athletic TE with a backer. When you create that matchup, it is easy pickens for a qb. THis is one of the more disturbing things about LSU...we lack the ability to consistantly use the TE as a weapon.

Good OC's figure a way to get that isolation and exploit it, why cant we?

Another reason why a "Good OC" is needed as much as any of these recruits that are being discussed on this board.

Agree Pasadena. I'm just stating that the hopes and dreams of the fans thinking a 6'3 wr is gonna make our offense special all of a sudden are not gonna get their wish. We're gonna have to dance with the girl we brought.
