Not wanting to throw gasoline on the fire. But I still remember Shows' quote where he stated that Hunter was the best lineman he had ever coached (offensive or defensive). And he isn't the kind of coach to overstate things with current players, at the expense of former stars.

Yea.
The problem with taking WM players is that their insular, aggressively ignorant, ego centric red neck fans come with them.
It can be a tough trade off, even for really good recruits.

Dude Quentin Thomas is a RS freshman. Give him some time. I think he'll get in the rotation next year and be a solid contributor.

QT and MJ have been stuck behind Brockers, Logan, Downs, Ego, and Freak since they arrived, and if Hunter was at lsu, he would be as well. I root for instate guys like Hunter that dont screw us to do well but Dont overreact; i mean tcu is in the big 12 not the sec and played a mediocre team from the big 10. QT has been praised similar to Logan before Logan hit the field. Logan was also a unheralded 3 star and will be a 1st round draft pick. In fact, once Logan and freak go in the 1st round, all 4 starters from this years D line will go 1st round. I think I will trust that Cheif knows how to evaluate.

Not off. Straight from Bricks mouth. MJ was taken bc Jernigan was out. You can read all your pay sites and get your time frame but when you talk to his position coach about this exact topic, Id trust him over scout.com.
And to set it straight, this is no knock on MJ. This is just to clear the confusion on why he was considered over chuck. It really did not come down to that at all. MJ was on his way to Arkansas before Jernigan pledged to Florida St.

Actually the coches are pleased with his progress. I wouldnt be surprised to see qt in the rotation next year. Esp if logan leaves early.
MJ is the one the coaches still think needs more development.
