So my service engine soon light came on the other day, worst timing possible because I am getting a new truck this weekend and trading it in. Does anyone know how I can turn it off without having to fix anything?

Make, model and year might help...

Disconnecting the battery for a few minutes resets the computer and turns the light off until it gets mad again.

Bring it to autozone and get the code ran. It might be something really easy to fix or ninja rig

It might stay off for a few days if you disconnect it though, but that's gambling.

Either you know someone that will do it for you or take it to an Autozone and get it diagnosed for free.

Usually, it's something simple and can be taken care of with relative ease.

Good Luck.

Yea I am headed there in a little bit. It came on over the weekend. My sensors have been acting up even though all my fluid levels have been fine. Well the low oil came on and I waited a day or so to check it thinking it was nothing and the level was low. It came on that day but it running normal. Not sure why it was low, cant find a leak and is not holding a good level.

If nothing is leaking you're burning it and need to get rid of it ASAP
