If you learned everything you know from cartoons, then I'll be the one to inform you that getting shot in the face by Elmer Fudd isn't nearly as hilarious as they make it out to be.

My wife is a native Minnesotan….her family always eat Lutefisk over Christmas…..interesting story, during an episode of Andrew Zimmerman’s Bizarre Foods he was profiling the bizarre foods of Minnesota. One of his segments he went to my wife’s hometown (population 288) and had lutefisk while sitting between my wife’s two great-great Aunts….

I just saw your post. Small world. I've been to Cyrus, MN many times. I have relatives from there. Ask your wife if she's heard of the Wentes.

Uff da! (as they used to say in North Dakota)
Make sure you have the Lefse with it. Can't say I was real fond of the Lutefisk. They also liked pickled Herring as I recall.
