Sorry if i missed a thread on this earlier (for the record, I searched. So if i missed it me). Anyway, instead of barking at HawgAlude's dumb arse about nothing - does anyone have a thought on this guy? The interwebs seem to be so full of jaded Wiscy and B1G fans that I can't get a good read on him. I guess you can look at stats and be happy, but wondering if anyone had any other good intell? Recruiting (geographies) especially.

I think it's more about wanting a job, especially with someone he's familiar with.

that is one way to look at it but there is a big difference tax wise from 200-400k per year. I am not saying he would not have brought him here any way but they are not going to beat Alabama and LSU with line up smash mouth football and the amount of FAIL in this will be a huge let down for most Arkansas fans. I feel sorry for them really they are buying into the hype only to be brought down to a crushing reality come October of 2013.

LOL, doubt any Arkansas fans expect to beat Bama or LSU in year 1 under a new coach.

Shoulda at least said 2014, but that would require a brain.

of course coaches will move on to higher paying jobs if given the opportunity. i have no idea what point you're trying to make here.

HawgAlude you contribute absolutely nothing to this board. All you do is bitch and whine. You're pissed because Arkansas didn't hire Gus Malzahn who was fresh off his first season as a head coach and instead grabbed a guy that is 5 years younger than him with 10 times the head coaching resume and much more upside. Please take a step back, look at this from a sane persons perspective and see that you're delusional. It's never to late to turn over a new leaf.

He's not MAKING a point. He. Is. A. Moron. Plain and simple. Always has been.

I think most of us see the hire for what it is...a very logical hire. Are you expecting Malzahn to do any better against Alabama/LSU with his brand of football? Cam isn't coming back. Is his offense and recruiting really all that great?

I don't think we're the ones buying into the hype. Malzahn's a good coach but I wouldn't be expecting anything great. What are we missing?

I didn't want Bobby to screw up either, but he did. He screwed up on OUR watch...and that's not wise. I liked him a lot but I'm not going to follow him around because I'm not that excited about where it might lead.
