What's the playoff scenario now?

Technically we aren't eliminated.

What would have to happen now?

Please go if you're just gonna give up.

Not looking good:

We win out

We can make it in over Redskins, Cowboys, Vikings, and Bears if they all have 8 losses.

Which means the Bears lose out, including a loss to the Cardinals. And the Redskins would need to lose two of Philly/Browns/Dallas. More likely than the Bears losing to the Cardinals, but still not too high of odds.

We also would need the Rams to lose 2 more games.

The Cowboys, Vikings, and Rams could all lose the required # of games and vault us ahead of them. The Bears could drop 2 games to Packers/Lions easily enough the way they have been playing but losing to the Cards will be us clinging on to hope. At least it's in Arizona.

What will suck is if we finish just 1 game short, you could point to any of our Redskins/Panthers/Chiefs/Falcons stupid losses where we either had no business losing, or were so close despite tons of stupid mistakes.

I would be thrilled if the Saints could finish 8-8, with or with out the playoffs.

While the Saints are still alive, just too much needs to happen for them to get in.

Yep, Redskins are playing some good enough ball to not drop 2 games, and Cardinals are just so damn bad we can't reasonably expect them to beat the Bears.

We probably end up 1 game short which really sucks in a bunch of ways, especially if we fight back to get to 500 hurting our draft position in the process. But there is pride in finishing 2nd in the division and ending the season on a positive.

Yeah let's go 8-8 and just barely miss the playoffs enough to screw us out of a top 10-15 pick. I don't know about you guys but I'm ready to draft a difference maker

Although I agree with not giving up the chances are so slim if I were coaching I would let Chase play sit PT,give Ingrahm 20-25 touches to see if he truly gets better with more carries. If we go 5-11 we would finish last in the South which would have us playing the 4th place finishers in the NFC north on the road/NFC west at home. I think I would much rather see Detroit than the Bears/Vikings and Arizona/St.Louis than Seattle.

This. Lets just worry about wining the rest of our games. Whatever else happens, happens.

I'm with you here, JD.

Hell, 7-9 after Goodell fricked us without lube would be impressive. This is a good team, but thrown into a much harder scenario than we could have ever imagined. Damn shame that we, as fans, had to endure a wasted season.

Totally agree. Losing out not only helps draft position, but next years scheduling as well

I would take 5-11 at this point. Going 8-8 and missing the playoffs does us no good.

Does this mean y'all are pulling for the Falcons again this week?
