Was thinking of making a trip up to Pomme de Terre mid week, next week to hunt to duck hunt. I haven't been there in quite some time. I was wondering if someone knew if there was enough water to make it out to the lake from the launch in a flat boat with an mud motor.

Hell no. Would need more then 4" of rain and I don't think that will do it. The lake is very low to were in the middle it is about 12"-18" deep.

Wow, I was hoping to make a trip, hell may just hike in. Was hoping to take the neighbors boy out for his first duck hunt, guess we may have to look else where.

There are a ton of assholes out there that think they own the place. They built blinds like every year. I did call WL&F and bitched, but it didn't do any good.

Yea I remember that from the last time I was there. I have never had any run-ins. Normally, we just beat everyone in, dont take anybodies blind but crowd up a bit. Last time we went, I just remember bitching about the sky blasting, but we used to do well there.

I will be calling the WL&F again today just to bitch about those blinds. The law states that all blinding crap be removed by 2pm every day. Problem is that the agent there knows the local poeple that is building these blinds. If that dude does do anything about it, I will be calling people in Baton Rouge office. It is time to take back the WMA for everyone.

I think if the blind is made of natural material like willows they can stay in place. Even if the willows were brought there.

Don't waste your time. Flew over it about a week ago and the lake is as low as I have ever seen it.

We have caught a rain since then, but it was only an inch.
