Looks like CU thought they could get away with screwing Embree and they could hire a good coach with the new conference money and everything would be fine.

Seems like they have been a disaster ever since Katie Hnida.

If the CU AD had any sense, which he doesn't, he would offer the job to Dave Logan.

Everyone other than LSUpimp will probably ask who's Dave Logan?

He's a former CU All American WR, who had a pretty good NFL career mostly with the Browns as I recall. He's had a successful post NFL career as a businessman, radio/TV personality, does the PBP on the Bronco's games, and is a successful high school coach winning several state championships.

Ha !
That's really, really weird.
I was literally thinking about Dave Logan as I drove home from dropping my daughter off at school today.
I probably hadn't thought of him in five years.

I'm not sure you offer the job to somebody without a CFB coaching resume though.
The one-year contract thing that somebody mentioned earlier is devastating.
I'm hoping they pull a rabbit out of the hat.
And they have already publically stated they have no interest in Petrino, although he would win and win big in the Pac 12.

Great minds think alike.

If it was anybody but the CU program, I would agree that unless you were really desperate you normally wouldn't hire a coach without any CFB experience.

He's got a hell of a HS coaching resume winning 6 5A state championships.

Was the worst job...now it just needs some polish.

For the first time in 10 years, the school is showing a committment to football.

The offer to Butch Jones was 2.65 million plus $3 million for assistants (more than USC) plus a committment to $250 million in football facility upgrades.

The last coach was making $750K. This is a remarkable change. An up and coming coach will jump at the program. Butch Jones did...he accepted the job and backed out the next morning when Tennessee came calling.

They should, but they won't.

They hired Embree without him having college coaching experience, and it obviously didn't turn out too well.

Not saying it would be the same under Logan. They just won't make a move like that again anytime soon.

No way, if you are gonna take a chance on someone you either get Tim Deruyter from Fresno(word is he wants the job) or Bob Stitt from Mines

I'll do it, Colorado is awesome and I would ski as soon as the season is over.

Recruiting? I just tell the kids weed is legal and I don't care If they smoke it once the season is over, get caught doing it mid season your schollie is revoked

That's an excellent point and I agree.

I think the CU fanbase would give Bohn a little slack if he hired Logan, but like you said it's not going to happen.
