Yeah and Steve Weatherford was one of the ones insinuating it. Probably still holds a grudge from getting cut.

title is misleading, it's more a commentary on the practicality of imposing such measure
only player quoted was Weatherford-
...several Giants players questioned just how silent Payton has been this season. Punter Steve Weatherford expressed a common sentiment when he said, “Of course he will get his message to them somehow.”
Weatherford added: “I’m not saying anything about Sean Payton as a person or anything, but I think any coach would do that. It’s not like he’s just going to sit at home and watch the games and not have any thoughts. His message will be heard.”
His comment wasn't in an accusatory tone but that "...any coach would do that."
More it is a writer scrounging up something different in regard to the Saints and bountyfarce. The whole issue that he certainly could communicate if he wanted to and likely do so undetected we have discussed. The risk being so great and the team performance as off as it has been I hope he hasn't. Maybe after a few games he could have told Vitt to get Ivory in there and remind Petey he has to run the ball more.

Punters say the stupidest things. It's the only way they get quoted in the media.

Didn't really care about this game before.
Now I want to f'ing screw their SB run.
Here we are being all quite on the southern front trying to be good little boys for Roger and this guy of all people opens his hole...
Hope you get your leg twisted off ya prick.

I used to like and respect the g-women but they have become a bunch of pre-matchup tactical shite talking bitches. They do this before every opponent they fear.

frick New York.
They always hate on Brees and now this. All he does is beat New York teams tho..
and to think.. Brees just donated all that money to Sandy victims. Bitter fricks.

Wow so basically he has as much evidence as the NFL has on the Saints.

CSP needs to work on that follow through. He has the time.

Yes and and that's helped us to a very impressive 5-7 record

Was Blues the only one to read the actual article?

I still am in the habit of reading and posting beyond 140 characters
read a blog responding to this which had a good point...
Why would Payton risk this with the team at 5-7? Secondly, the poorer the finish the more he will have leverage in the contract talks. The worse the team record the more he'll appear (and be expected) to be the Mastermind Savior of the franchise.
