Specifically steak, ribs, ground meat. I get kind of picky around ground meat.

Ground beef-only at Calandro's, Whole Foods or Fresh Market. I'm picky about ground meat also.

Piggly Wiggly on Govt. Best inexpensive meat selection in the city, just have to watch out for the LA purchase cards and geriatrics.

all the places mentioned here. Especially Callandro's for ground beef. When you pick up the packet of ground beef at Albertson's that's in square form it's just creepy.

Make your own ground beef at home with roasts from the cheap seats, use ASAP(meaning that night or the next.

Really? I live right down the road and have never considered buying anything from there. Good to know.

Ralph's every day prices are lower than Winn Dixie every day prices(not saying much).

They are both expensive at full price, and I don't buy meat from either unless it's on sale.

Maxwell's on Highland, Winn Dixie on Old Perkins, Chris' on Airline, and Ralph's on Jones Creek are my go to usually.

Thanks for the replies.

So to follow up, I usually pick up steaks and ribs at Sam's because they aren't usually overly marbled, fat laden cuts (can't stand to pay for a steak and can't eat half of it) for a decent price. Albertson's has some decent cuts as well.

Leblanc's for ground meat only.

Look's like I need to keep a few places in BR in mind in case I'm out that way.

I used to get all of my meats at the Albertson's at highland and airline until the ground meat was nasty once and the next time I had to muscle my way through a burger. Ralph's has had some jacked up consistency in their meat that reminded me of why 14 years ago I learned not to buy it from Wal-Mart.

You can't go wrong with Sam's for ribs. Good pork loin deals too.

True. Much better $/ LB vs grocery stores and not as much fat.
