Anyone have the latest reports?

ETA:

Not a stellar trip but we didn't strike out. 37 trout and we had to work for them.

Ran all over the place with little success until after lunch. Finally figured out what they wanted. They wanted it under a popping cork but they wanted a deep drop. Had to put a 4 foot leader and had immediate results. Changed the other rods over to the longer leaders and started putting fish in the boat.

Most fish caught in Decade after lunch. Caught some in some canals off of Falgout this morning. Clear sparkle beetles worked best. Caught a few slow rolling a straight tail off the bottom but the bite was very finicky.

Probably could have had an entirely different trip had we started out using the long leaders in the morning.

My dad was headed to Decade this morning but decided on Cocodrie. From what he's heard and witnessed in Cocodrie, the good bite stops by 9am

My uncle has been catching some MONSTERS on topwater near the banks. Very slow, but when he hooks one...it's a guaranteed hog.

Otherwise, typical Decade fishing. Head left out of Falgout and fish around the banks with swimbaits or popping corks. We had a little luck with chartreuse split-tails under a popping cork last weekend.

ETA: And hit it at day-break or dusk.
