Plus, the main benefits are under the hood and not necessarily noticeable to the average user.

I am impressed with Stardock Start8. Tremendously useful and nice looking add on for only $5 bucks.

Quick question... when i upgraded to windows 8 my HDMI stopped being recognized. On 7 i plugged it into my tv and it recognized it immediately. now i have tried fn f8 and even doing the projection screen settings but it is not recongnising the port. does any know how to fix this or are also having this problem? Thanks

No idea. I have 2 HDMI hookups on my computer for my 2 monitors and I've had no problems.

Is your HDMI hookup from the computer or the graphics card. It is possible you need to update to the latest driver for the graphics card or the motherboard.

I am not sure if its from computer or graphics card. its built into the computer so probably computer... as far as i know the drivers are up to date....
