Post up your favorite here...

I think this one is the best. Jimi can paint a picture. Many props to his drummer for effect.

Rolling Stones--Sympathy for the Devil

Jimi Hendrix--All Along the Watchtower

Nowhere to Run--Martha and the Vandellas

There is a little known bylaw in the U.S. Code that states that any movie that spends at least 15 minutes or more on the Vietnam War MUST use these three songs in the soundtrack. If they use less than fifteen minutes, they must use one of the above three and it should be "Sympathy for the Devil", or they should submit (in writing) a good reason to use one of the other two.

FACT.

Volunteers - Jefferson Airplane

As a Vietnam era veteran, I humbly submit the song that sparks the nostalgia of the era to me.

Gimme Shelter - Stones

Their best song IMO. The war played heavily in the apocalyptic theme.

It was an incredible era for experimentation and creativity in music. But protest songs? How can anything top Country Joe & the Fish- The 'Fish' Cheer played at Woodstock??
