there've been some rumors Purdue may offer him his first head coaching opportunity

I don't think Chaney would go to LSU, not enough offensive freedom under Miles.

As long as les miles is the head coach at lsu you will see the same offense that we have been seeing regardless who holds the title of "offensive coordinator." Why is this so hard for people to grasp?

well, I think Les gives more freedom to his OCs than ppl give him credit for. he no doubt has input, but I doubt it's as overbearing as some make it out to be. by and large I'm cool with the plays in our playbook and the philosophy, but the playcalling could stand to be a lot better. and I think Chaney could fit in there.

I could be wrong, but I don't think it's offensive PHILOSOPHY people have problems with. I could just be speaking for myself, but I absolutely want LSU to be a punch you in the mouth, run the ball football team. But when there's 9 in the friggin' box, find a way to exploit the coverage that should be lacking on the outside.
