Mack Brown, Bobby Bowden, Philip Fulmer... Etc have never even remotely had an 8 year stretch to compare to Miles.

One of these coaches is not like the others. The FSU teams in the late 80's and early 90's ended up in the Top 4 in the poll 14 consecutive years, if any coach ever replicates that feat, I would love to have him coach at LSU.

If Richt wins the BCS title this year though he jumps ahead of Miles.

Why? They both would have one a BCS Title.

As for my two cents, I agree with the other posters who have noted that Richt always seems to lay an egg somewhere along the line. I think of all the SEC coaches he does the least with the most talent as his teams are notorious for under performing.

I agree with that. Miles and Richt are both top tier coaches but some portion of the fan base think like stated above.

Georgia had an easy schedule; if not they would have more losses.

First richt hasnt played for a bcs title yet. And he is in one of the most firtle recruiting states in the country. Atlanta alone has more people than the entire state of louisiana. his team has played a weak arse schedule the last 2 years. He is also 4-8 against UF. UGA has underachieved and one could even say richt has cost them multiple sec and bcs titles.

Did i mention richt is 4-8 aganst uf and only beat ron zook once?

Lost to a shitty UF team in 2002 that cost his team a bcs title. They went 13-1 that year. You guys would be calling for his head.

Richt wins 95% of the games he's supposed to. Wins like 5% of the games he's not supposed to.

Miles has a much better record when it's a 50/50 game or if he's the underdog.

For those saying Miles is equivalent to Bowden
