I cooked some turtle in a black pot over a fire.
Did a duck gumbo with some teal too. Didn't have any spoonies.
I only eat duck gumbo once a year and much prefer them with rice and gravy but had an uncle who likes duck but had never eaten them in a gumbo so made it to send him some.

Yeah, sucks. Just saw him Wednesday. Skiff overturned with three in it, one made it to shore. It's not uncommon around here though.

Had fried catfish bellies and about 20 bud lights lat night. Might cook a jamb this evening and try to shoot ducks off the porch
