Which one did you have? There is 3 different ones I think.
I killed Mendez which led the revolt.

avenged sevenfold did some songs for the zombies mode in Blops 1.
I suppose someone in treyarc must be friends with one of the band members and tries to keep this band's career alive unnaturally.
I got the same ending. Poor Woods got it pretty good.

I looked up the other endings. I don't feel like doing the Strike Missions so I won't get the happy ending. Oh well.

If you don't shoot mason in the head then supposedly there's a different ending?

the strike force missions are terrible.
the friendly AI is horribly incompetent.
If you shoot Alex in a nonlethal fashion, he shows up at the end with no real explanation for why he never resurfaced until he was a decrepit old man.
