he was high fiving everything in sight! Thanks for all the I was/am really proud of him and what he has let me teach him about the outdoors. We have another boy (4) and he will have his BB gun out there next dove season and the teaching will begin with him. My Grandpa took me with him every chance he could and I feel that it steered me in a better direction. And I get to have fun as well!!!

You're doing it all wrong. Your first buck is supposed to be a dinky little spike or something

Congrats

Awesome that our young'uns get to start off with bucks like that. The old timers that taught me didn't believe in herd maintenance. If it moved, it died back then. I was lucky to kill 4 pt's back then.

when i was a kid up in hill and pine tree Parish, seeing a deer was a monumental and sometimes very lucky trick.. I remember my uncles and grandfather just talking about seeing a deer track..(yes, that was a big deal).. I was considered quite the hunter when I killed my first deer in the early 60's, and I ground checked it,,, also ground checked the next 2 or 3...

OP, congrats to the young feller, enjoy these times with your kids, they pass by fast,,, too dang fast...
