What is the MB's opinion of this book? Is it a good read?

must read, i finished in a week or two tops, it's a page turner, and he even tells you which chapters to skip depending on your knowledge of statistics etc. even skeptics of Nassim still can't deny that the book is awesome

You get the most out of it if you have at least some knowledge of statistics and predictive modeling, the more the better.

A good chunk of the book is him tooting his own horn, but if you can get through that it's pretty good.

The last paragraph is one of my favorites ever.

It's good; punctures conventional wisdom with a bunch of shrapnel which I always enjoy.

Solid book. Helped me put probabilities in proper perspective. Also enjoyed Fooled By Randomness for the same reasons.

Now anxiously awaiting his next book - Antifragile. I should have it devoured within a week of its release later this month.

He's an arrogant douchebag but that's why I dislike the book. Once you buy into the idea all the important stuff can't be predicted you might as well close the book. I knew that before I opened it.
