was Harrow in the picture yet when Jimmy was working with Capone?
I can't figure out how Harrow fits into AC, other than just going nuts and waging a 1 man war on people. I'd be fine with, but its starting to annoy the shite out of me that none of these dumbasses realize he's the most valuable weapon in any war against each other.

Who was behind the bombing? Gyp? Or the Irish for some reason? Or did I miss something?

You don't read these threads because somebody pointed out what happened in real life in a discussion about a show where whether or not it stays historically accurate is sometimes a relevant topic?

I think it was Gyp.

Oh, and Rothstein did get mussed up, but he sure looked dodgy right before that bomb went off.

Definitely Gyp. Gillian (I think, may have been someone else) told Gyp that Nucky and Rothstein were going to be eating there and the time that they would be there.
One thing that I don't think was mentioned, but Nucky/Rothstein were talking about hiring Chinese people to do something (I think run the distillery) and some Asian guy walked right behind Nucky just before the explosion as he was looking at Billie. That wouldn't usually mean much, but I'm pretty sure that it was both the first time Chinese people were mentioned and the first time one was shown. Wondering if the people that Nucky plans to hire are already working for Gyp.

Yeah, it was her.

Eh, Rothstein comes off as a person that would just rather walk away from annoying people than stand there and listen to some idiot. I'm the same way.

That had to be it. If the douchey guy hadn't shown up, what did he plan on doing? Telling Nucky to go in without him? That would be suspicious and there would definitely be better ways for him to kill Nucky. For Gyp to kill Rothstein, Nucky, and Lucky, the bomb makes a lot of sense.

It's quite amazing to me that Boardwalk has all these colorful, fascinating characters, but that the one played by Michael Shannon doesn't fall into that category. Yesterday's ep was his character's best in awhile, but his storyline has seemed pointless for awhile now (even if it may be dovetailing back into the Chicago storyline through O'Banion). His character does nothing for me.
BE is frustrating because it has the potential to be a great series, but it hasn't consistently realized that potential. Personally, I think it stretched the scope of the show too far. It almost has too many interesting characters for its own good. GoT has a similar problem but, for me at least, has done a better job of showing how the events are or will be connected. As a corollary to that point, it's criminal how little they use Chalky.

I disagree somewhat. I'm a MKW fan but I don't think he's a great actor or anything. I think his role is just fine where he is. If anything you'll see him get involved much more with this impending war that's about to go down.

I hope Gillian gets taken out within the next few shows. She's just wasted screen time for other great characters.
I don't mind Gillian. She's clearly an antagonist and meant to get under your skin/disturb you with her deep seeded psychological issues. That said, it's apparent she likely won't make it out of this season.

I hope she dies soon. Just her appearance in a scene makes me uncomfortable.

I finally watched this episode last night. Great show. One question:
Did I miss something? What Irish are we talking about? Are you going back to last season when Nucky went to Ireland?
Thanks.

Finally caught up on the season. God Gillian's character is reaching all time new creepy levels for me. Great character though
